Assistant translator activities

I. List of Assistant translator duties:
  1. Translation to and from Japanese for various documents/emails for all Engineering groups
  2. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: mailing, labels, photocopying, faxing and filing, Man-hour data, budget
  3. Maintain and verify design documents, development schedule and project data
  4. Tracking design data and specification and design documentation(software, hardware and mechanical)
  5. Distribute Engineering Department packages
  6. Prepare UPS/Fedex shipments for Engineering Department.
  7. Create and send out group emails to Engineering Department in English for the Division Manager.
  8. Make travel arrangements and/or hotel accommodation
  9. Perform errands that assist daily functions.
  10. Tracking bills/writing Purchase Orders for Engineering Department purchases.
II. List of Assistant translator qualifications

1.       High school degree or Associate’s degree from an accredited institution
2.       Experience in Administrative support activities
3.       Knowledge of office processes, practices, and MS Office software applications
4.       Professionalism, discretion, good judgment ability, adaptable and versatile individual
5.       Strong organizational skills 
6.       Effective listening and strong verbal communication skills
7.       Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken) - Required
8.       Fluent in English (written and spoken) - Required
9.       Initiative and ability to operate independently
